Mariposa Reformed Baptist Church news
Please join us for worship this Sunday morning at 10 AM.
We meet at 4994 11th Street, Mariposa in the Seventh-day Adventist building.

We will not be having lunch this week.
In our study tonight, we’ll be looking at the two remaining chapters of our confession:

We are pleased to announce that by God’s grace we have secured a permanent location for our church services. We will begin meeting, STARTING THIS SUNDAY, at 4994 11th St, Mariposa in the Seventh-day Adventist building at 10 AM.
Our new location is a fifty-year old church building that has just recently been remodeled. It is handicap accessible, has spacious pews, a baptismal pool, and a fellowship hall with plenty of plugs for potlucks.
For those with small children, our new sanctuary includes a parent’s room. The room is equipped with a pew, speakers and a large window looking into the sanctuary, so parents can attend to their children’s needs while still participating in the worship service. The church also has a fully fenced playground where the children can play after lunch.
Here’s a photo of us getting ready for church today in our alternate location (in the mystery section of the county library) because the county needed our usual space for a public cooling center. We’ll be announcing our new permanent location later this week, as soon as I pick up the key.
We at Mariposa Reformed Baptist Church eagerly invite everyone to come and experience together the richness of God’s grace for us in Christ at our first worship service.
To this end, every Sunday, beginning May 12th, 2013 at 10 AM, we will give the principle place in our worship to the expository preaching of God’s Word (1 Corinthians 1:21). Letting the Word of Christ dwell in us richly (Colossians 3:16), we will also offer prayer (1 Timothy 2:1) and sing Psalms and scriptural hymns (Ephesians 5:19) that bring praise to our Triune God. As the one people of God, we will also spiritually feast on the Bread of Life (John 6:35) as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday (1 Corinthians 11:26).
Immediately following our worship, we will have a time of fellowship (Acts 2:42), and a (provided) light lunch, followed by a time of sharing (2 Corinthians 13:11), encouragement (1 Thesalonians 5:11), service (1 Peter 4:10), further prayer (James 5:16) and teaching (Acts 2:42).
We will be holding our service at the Mariposa County Library at 4978 10th St., Mariposa. (The library is our temporary location, and we will likely be moving to a different, larger location in town, in the next week or two.)
We will be singing out of this hymnal.
You are invited to our weekly Mariposa Reformed Baptist Church Bible study tonight, Tuesday, April 23th at 7 PM.
Last week we skipped ahead and worked through Chapter 17 “The Perseverance of the Saints.”
Tonight in our study, we will finally be getting to chapter 16 of the 2nd London Baptist Confession. Chapter 16 concerns the Bible’s doctrine of “Good Works.”
Contact us or call (209) 379-5672 for location information.
Tomorrow night, Tuesday evening (2/26/13), at 7 PM, Mariposa Reformed Baptist Church will be continuing our studying Christ as our mediator. As this, the Lord Jesus has fully satisfied the justice of God, obtained reconciliation, and purchased an everlasting inheritance in the kingdom of heaven for all those given to him by the Father. He has accomplished these things by his perfect obedience and sacrifice of himself, which he once for all offered up to God through the eternal Spirit. (2 John 17:2; Hebrews 9:15. Hebrews 9:14; Hebrews 10:14; Romans 3:25, 26.)
